My name is Dr. Lauren Barron and I grew up in the Houston area. I am licensed as both a Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist, and have been working with clients for over 10 years. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2011, and have since completed a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Waco, Texas and my postdoctoral residency in private practice at West Houston Psychology.
I am a mom of little ones, both furry and human, and understand what it is like to juggle several roles in life. In my spare time I like to listen to podcasts and read books about history or people overcoming great adversity. I am an Orthodox Christian, and find inspiration in the lives of the saints.
Lastly, I am a person with a disability. I grew up with a significant visual impairment and understand what it is like to have to work hard in life. This experience has led to my passion for serving veterans and those adjusting to life with disability. I also love helping parents learn how to navigate life with children with disabilities and help their children to succeed in life despite any physical limitations. In addition to my work with the disability community, I also specialize in serving clients with anxiety, trauma, and
relationship issues.
